Mountain gorilla living in the Virunga mountains in the Rwanda Congo border region are on the Red List of Endangered Species due to habitat loss, poaching, disease, and war. Mountain gorillas live in groups of one adult male, the silverback, and a number of females. Silverback gorillas can reach a height of more than two meters and a weight of more than 200 kilograms.
